Licensed Clinical Social Worker

FAQ Page
This page is for some additional questions I get often. If there are any additional questions, please send me an email to check in.
What services do you offer?
I currently offer virtual therapy sessions, consultation meetings, and coaching sessions. Therapy is available to residents of Pennsylvania only. Coaching and consultation are available to folks located anywhere in the United States. Please note that coaching is not the same as therapy.
What platform do you use for sessions?
I use Practice Better and Zoom, both HIPAA-compliant platforms that are easily accessible from a computer, phone, or tablet.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance in PA. However, I can provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider to see if this applies to your plan.
I do accept insurance for NC clients but the sessions will be held through an agency and not my private practice- this will result in some slightly different rules from my practice. I will go over all of that information during the consultation.
What are your therapy rates?
-
50-minute individual therapy session: $120
-
50-minute partner or family session: $150
-
90-minute sessions are available for an additional fee
Sliding scale spots are offered when available, though there may be a waitlist.
What forms of payment do you accept?
All major credit cards are accepted.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require at least 24 hours advance notice to cancel appointments. If you notify me less than 24 hours before your scheduled time, you are responsible for the full cost of the session or meeting.
Can I do a session from my car or a public space?
No. For safety, privacy, and therapeutic integrity, sessions must be conducted from a private, stationary location. I cannot conduct sessions in public spaces or moving vehicles.
How do I know if I need therapy, coaching, or consultation?
Therapy is for emotional healing, mental health support, and processing personal experiences. Coaching is more goal-oriented and focused on personal or professional growth. Consultation is designed for therapists and grad students seeking guidance around clinical practice, career transitions, or private practice logistics. If you're unsure, feel free to reach out and I can help clarify what might be the best fit.
Do you work with teens or families?
Yes. I have over five years of experience working with high school clients and offer both individual and partner/family sessions. All sessions are virtual. Youth must be 16 or older. Guardian consent is needed for clients 16 and 17.
Do you offer support for religious trauma, queer and trans care, or identity exploration?
Absolutely. These are core areas of my practice. I specialize in supporting clients navigating religious trauma, faith deconstruction, and identity development, especially within queer, trans, and gender-expansive communities.
Can I book a consultation if I’m a therapist in another state?
Yes. Consultation and coaching are available to therapists, grad students, and healing professionals across the United States. Therapy services are limited to Pennsylvania residents only. Please remember that each state and agency has their own rules and none of the information provided in consultations is legal advice or is a replacement in supervision.
Do you offer workshops or trainings?
Yes. I offer workshops for therapists on topics like working with teens in telehealth, integrating art into sessions, supporting queer and trans clients, and building authentic practices. You can find upcoming offerings on my website or reach out to inquire about custom trainings.
How do I get started?
You can reach out through my contact form or email to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call. We’ll talk about what you’re looking for and see if we’re a good fit.
How long until you respond back? What if I don't hear back from you?
I am a partner, friend and daughter, so life can get busy for me sometimes. I "typically" do sessions, meetings, and calls between M-Th from 10-7.
With that being said, I am also a night owl and I will occasionally hop into my email and clinical work on weekends or my "time off". Please do not expect responses outside of my work hours, but you may occasionally get some.
If you don't hear back within 5 business days, please feel free to reach out again. Sometimes an email will get lost in the shuffle and you're reminder emails are appreciated if this happens.
What therapeutic approaches do you use?
My work is humanistic, trauma-informed, and collaborative. I integrate evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, while centering identity, lived experience, and creative expression.
Do you diagnose or prescribe medication?
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). In therapy, I can provide diagnoses when clinically appropriate, but I do not prescribe medication. If needed, I can collaborate with your prescriber or help you find one.
Can you give me a letter for my pet to be a support animal?
This is not something I am able to provide in my practice or in my NC agency.
